The 'baby' baby...

is a little girl!!   We are very excited!   I had my 20 weeks ultrasound this past week, and she looks great!   She was measuring at 11 oz, exactly right...  no problems at all that they can see.    Briar wants to name her Butterscotch!!!   She is SO funny! 

  Four short months and I'll have her in my arms!

Smoky Mountain Trip

Last week we took a trip to the Smokies!   It was hot and Kasper HATED the hotel room, but it was a much needed vacation by all!    Part 1..

13 Week Appointment

I am 13 weeks already!!   That is SO hard to believe!    2nd trimester, WOW!

Update..

I haven't updated in nearly a month!   
  We have had some really nice days so I've been running 3-4 times a week and the kids have been able to play outside finally..
  Zaylor and Briar go with their Dad tomorrow for Easter, so last weekend (on Dave's birthday!) we gave them their Easter gifts.    They each got a Disney movie and candy..   we had a movie night that was fun!
 
  Zaylor started t ball so we have been busy with that..  He loves it and he plays for the Lil Reds..  it's cute!

 Tomorrow I have a big run, well it's four miles and 1.5 mile of it is UPHILL!    I'll let you all know how that goes, and I need to get some pics up!

Running March 23 & 25

Wednesday I did a progress run.   I ran a slow mile, got a drink, ran another slow mile, got another drink.. Ran 2 quick miles.

Friday I two slow miles and another slow mile.   I didn't push myself much.  


I know all of my blog posts are about running!   I am keeping track of my miles here.  

Intervals

I see that this blog is mostly about running.   :)

  Today I did three one mile intervals.   My first mile was 9:56, my second 9:46, and my third 9:56 again.    I took 5 minute breaks in between.   I did SO much better than I expected to do.    I was just hoping to run 11.5 - 12 minute miles!   SO YAY for me!!!

Big news!

Last Tuesday, my husband had his vasectomy.. we had decided that three children was enough.    Our plans obviously do not matter much, because on the day of his vasectomy we found out that I am pregnant with baby number 4!!!    We were in shock, to say the least..    My children are just turned six..  almost 3.5.. and 6 months old!      I've just got back in shape, I've been running, I can actually leave the baby for a couple hours and work some..  etc.. etc...   So now what will we do!?
 
  Well, we will rejoice in this gift that God has given us.    I know that His plan is greater than my own, I know that He will not give me more than I can handle, and I know that He has a purpose for my family, and for my children.

  Now, I am 6 weeks pregnant and I feel great.   I am very tired, as you can imagine, with nursing an infant and being pregnant.. but we'll get through this!   
   My first OB appointment is in two weeks.. I'll keep everyone updated!   

Zaylor funnies

Here are some bits and pieces of mine and my just turned SIX year old son Zaylor's conversations over the past week or so...

"Mom, it didn't work!" Me, "What?"   Zaylor "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is THERE!", nope, didn't work again."

"Look Mom!  I just busted the Statue of Delivery!"  Me, "The Statue of LIBERTY?"  Zaylor, "Yes, the Statue of Livery"..   Hmm close enough??

Today I ran

Today I ran a 5k without stopping to walk!  That is the absolute first time I have EVER done that!   I am really proud of myself!   My time was 38 minutes, not terrible but not too great either...   My goal is 30 minutes.   That would be about 10 minute miles and that would be really fast for me!   I know I am not a distance runner.. but I do love being in shape!    So, hopefully by the end of May, I will be in the low 30s for a 5k!!    Wish me luck!

Almost well...

I've had two sick kids and a sick husband this past week.   I feel like I haven't blogged forever!  :)
  I have also been busy getting the outgrown spring and summer clothing out and ready to sell.   Lucky for me, I have sold nearly EVERYthing here locally, and I haven't had to mess with selling online!   
  We were just getting back into our school schedule this week and had a snow day today.. it's pretty anyway.. 

My baby is FIVE months old!

I think Briar is just way too young to be lounging around playing a vTech!  She just turned three in October..  Although she tells me all the time that she is "just growing up a little bit, ok Mommy?   Not too much though, ok?"   

Kasper's 4 month milestones

What a month!   Kasper had his four month appointment, 15.6 lbs and nearly 25"..  He is right around 50th - 60th percentile.. 

   This month he rolled over, front to back AND back to front, and he found his toes

So now EVERY time I try to change his diaper the toes are in his hands or in his mouth!

Weekend Disney Project

My mother in law bought us a HUGE container of animal crackers..  once the container was about half empty, I had an idea!

Zaylor made the Hollywood Studios side, and Briar made the Magic Kingdom side.   I wonder how long it will take to fill it up with change....  

When you wish upon a star..

I love Disney.   I love the movies, the characters, the parks, the PRINCESSES!!   I love the magic.   We aren't going to WDW until September, but I have been busy planning our trip.    My kids will be 6.5, almost 4, and just turned 1 on our next trip.. they are excited also and ask every day when are we going??
   My number one MUST DO is the princess breakfast at the castle.   I can NOT wait to see the look on Briar's face when she FINALLY gets to meet Ariel.

I just felt like running..

This past week I've ran 6.4 miles.   Not as much as the previous week, but pretty good considering my son had snow days from school nearly every day, and it was 20 degrees.    My goal is to run a 5k in 30 minutes.   I think I can, I think I can!!  

Here we are

 This is my very first blog!  I read a few different blogs, so I decided to start one.  

I am Brea, I have three children.  Zaylor, almost 6! Briar is 3, and Kasper is 4 months old.   They are my life!   I love watching my children grow and learn, they have such a wonderful perspective on the world.  
  Other than my family, I love Disney, running, Zumba, shopping, and most importantly raising my children to know and love God.   
   Now, to get this blog thing figured out!   :)
